Mutual Capacity Development Grant (MCDG)

If so, the MCDG may be right for you!
The MCDG covers investments in training, education, conferences, workshops or other learning activities in line with the MF's Guiding Principle or strategic criteria.
The goals of the MCDG are:
1. To help Fellows and TTs develop skills and gain knowledge that advance their professional, intellectual, and personal development and
2. To enable fellows and TTs to contribute skills and knowledge to the MF network.
The application criteria are:
1. The supported activities must produce tangible and measurable benefit for both, the grantee and MF community and
2. The supported activities must have thematic relevance to either the MF's Guiding Principle or one of the six strategies in the MF's current Strategic Plan.
Some illustrative examples of possible supported activities are:
- A Junior Fellow takes an online course on distance learning training and helps design “Facilitator Guidelines” for JF Workgroups;
- A Senior Fellow presents a paper at a professional conference under MF sponsorship and subsequently shares her paper and structures her presentation for delivery to interested members of the MF community.
- A team comprising a TT and two Junior Fellows carries out a research project, writes a paper, and publishes it in a professional trade publication.

Application window in 2007: Nov/1 to Dec/1
Application window in 2008: Jan/1 to May/1
Grant amounts: min. US$ 300 – max. US$ 2,500
Number of grants: 1 to 5 awards
Individual Junior and Senior Fellows are eligible as well as groups (including TTs as members) can apply for this grant.
